For the third year in a row, the University of Hawai‘i football team will be one of the earliest programs in the country to begin spring practice.
Spring ball for the 2025 Rainbow Warriors is set to begin on Feb. 3 at the Clarence T.C. Ching Athletics Complex at 7 a.m.
In 2023, the 'Bows began spring practice on Feb. 6 due to construction on the UH-Mānoa campus, with only Bowling Green beginning practice at an earlier date that year.
In 2024, Hawai‘i began spring ball on Jan. 29, with head coach Timmy Chang attributing the early start to a desire to begin the team's offseason strength and conditioning program after spring break.
UH's 2025 spring game is set for March 8. Only Liberty (March 1) has an earlier spring game date, although the Flames have yet to publicly announce when their spring practices are set to begin.
Hawai‘i will practice every Monday, Wednesday and Friday leading up to the spring game, with the exception of Monday, Feb. 10.
The Rainbow Warriors went 5-7 in 2024 in Chang's third season at the helm. Two days after the team's 38-30 home victory over New Mexico in the season finale, Chang signed a one-year contract extension with UH, which runs through the 2026 season.
Kickoff for the 2025 Hawai‘i football season is set for Aug. 23 against Stanford, a home game for the Rainbow Warriors.
