Everyone’s looking to save money and get the most bang for their buck. This series where show you where you can save while still savoring a good meal.
Amuse Wine Bar recently announced on Instagram that it was bringing back its happy hour. I remember going to the restaurant for happy hour pre-Covid 19; this is the first time the eatery brought back its happy hour since the pandemic, according to restaurant general manager Kay Ikeda.
Happy hour is from 5 to 6 p.m. every Tuesday through Thursday in the bar and lounge area (before you fully enter Stage Restaurant).

The new happy hour menu launched Jan. 21, Ikeda says. While the menu is on the smaller side, you’ll probably want everything on it.
“We brought back the favorites from past years,” she says. “Sliders are a longtime favorite in the bar, but we changed the menu last year and took them off the menu.”
Customer response has been positive with the return of this craveable dish, according to Ikeda, who says it’s the most popular happy hour menu item. Certified Angus beef sliders ($12) come with three per order, and feature a thick patty with black pepper mayo in housemade potato buns. They’re meaty, flavorful and the perfect size.

One of my favorite dishes from Stage Restaurant’s dinner menu is the Korean fried chicken, and I was thrilled to see that it’s included in the happy hour selection. Crispy and golden brown, these crunchy bite-sized pieces are topped with furikake and chili garlic soy. Each mouthful is an explosion of flavor.

Happy hour Stage fries ($5) are great for snacking, and if you like some heat, you’ll appreciate this dish. The fries are drizzled with a spicy mayo, making them even more addictive.

Other happy hour dishes include kalua pig bao buns ($9) — two are included with each order — and a mushroom and pepperoni pizza ($10).
The happy hour drink selection includes a featured daily cocktail or sangria ($12) and a red and white wine of the day ($12).
