I always seem to crave pastries from Halekūlani Bakery on days that the bakery is closed. If you’re a fellow afficionado of salted caramel croissants and curry pan, there’s good news — starting March 17, the bakery will be open every day from 6:30 to 11:30 a.m.
“We are thrilled to announce that we will be opening our doors daily starting March 17,” says Halekūlani Bakery pastry chef Michelle Baldomero. “We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to our guests for their patience.”

Located across the street from Halekūlani — and adjacent to Halepuna Waikīkī’s lobby — the bakery offers a variety of artisan breads, sweet and savory pastries, specialty coffees, and signature desserts like the Halekūlani coconut cake. Halekūlani Bakery features locally sourced ingredients to create pastries baked from scratch.

The bakery selection changes daily. Choose from a variety of croissants — including Valrhona chocolate ($6), salted caramel ($6.50), ham and cheese ($7) and Big Island macadamia nut chocolate ($6.50) — and pastries like the mango blueberry muffin ($4.75), Big Island macadamia nut sticky bun ($7.50), and guava Danish ($5.50).

The bakery recently launched new pastries and added more savory items to the menu, according to Baldomero.
“For those who prefer savory treats, we now offer the fig & prosciutto Danish ($7.75) and the curry pan ($7),” she says. “Inspired by our signature coconut cake, we have created the coconut Danish ($5.75). Additionally, the pineapple ginger Danish ($7.75), featuring a namesake cremeux and topped with fresh pineapple, is a new creation. For those who enjoy an Asian flair, we have added the matcha cream pan ($6.50).
“So far, the coconut Danish and the curry pan have been the top favorites among our new creations, with the pineapple ginger Danish being a close third, especially popular with our out-of-town guests,” Baldomero adds. “One of our original top sellers, the salted caramel croissant, continues to delight.”

Besides the new sweet and savory pastries — we especially loved the prosciutto goat cheese fig jam Danish — customers can look forward to seasonal treats for special occasions.
“We are committed to enhancing our offerings by changing selections seasonally and introducing new favorites,” Baldomero says. “Look out for the Baileys cheesecake for St. Patrick’s Day and a carrot cake croissant for Easter.”
