The University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa has officially posted its opening for its vacant athletics director position.

New UH president Wendy Hensel, who began her tenure on Jan. 1, announced a 10-person search committee in mid-March. Parker Executive Search, a national firm, is assisting UH in the process. It remains Hensel's goal to have a new AD in place in the summer.

“This process is designed to be thorough, transparent and inclusive,” Hensel said in a statement. “We are committed to selecting a visionary leader who will champion our student-athletes and elevate UH Mānoa athletics.”

In addition to its national search, Parker Executive Search is welcoming the public's input, including links for feedback and nominations.

UH announced its plans to part with previous UH athletics director Craig Angelos on Nov. 19, 2024, with Dec. 1 serving as his last day. Lois Manin has served as the school's acting athletics director since Dec. 2.
