The City and County of Honolulu’s Department of Parks and Recreation will start registration for Summer Fun 2025 on Monday, May 12.
The program accommodates about 10,000 keiki across Oʻahu each year, according to the Department of Parks & Recreation’s website.
Summer Fun runs 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. from June 9 through July 25. The sign-up dates depend on where the program is located.
To enroll keiki in Summer Fun, go to the Department of Parks & Recreation’s website and select “Activities,” then select the desired program. Walk-in sign ups at district offices are also available at 5 p.m. on the dates below.
Summer Fun
Participating kids must be 6 years old before Aug. 1, 2025, and not older than 13 years old by July 25, 2025. The program is led by more than 1,200 junior leaders, who are between 13 and 17 years old.

- District 2 (West Honolulu): May 13
- District 3 (Leeward O‘ahu): May 14
- District 4 (Windward & North O‘ahu): May 15
- District 5 (Central O‘ahu): May 16
Summer Enrichment Programs
Keiki can also participate in separate seasonal classes and activities at parks and gardens across Oʻahu through the Summer Enrichment Programs.
To enroll keiki in Summer Enrichment Programs, go to the Department of Parks & Recreation’s website and select “Activities,” then select the desired enrichment classes or activities or sign-up at the district office for that program at these times:
Botanical Gardens offers sign-ups at 9 a.m. on May 15.
Sign-ups for district programs start at 5 p.m. for these locations:

- District 2 (West Honolulu): May 20
- District 3 (Leeward O‘ahu): May 21
- District 4 (Windward & North O‘ahu): May 22
