Just in time for summer, Kawaii Ice Wave and its cold, social media-worthy desserts are now available in Mililani. The biz just opened in the former Snowberry spot in Mililani Shopping Center (close to Foodland).

If you’re unfamiliar with the center, just look for the business’s signature pink brick wall and neon signage. Kawaii Ice Wave also has a kiosk in Pearlridge Center (in the “Uptown” side), but closed its Hawaiʻi Kai location to open up in Mililani.

There are multiple photo opportunities within the shop to showcase the cold desserts. As its name implies, the biz is known for its “ice waves,” or its twist on bingsu (Korean shave ice desserts). Choose from regular (16 ounce) or large (24 ounce) sizes. Flavors include strawberry mango, strawberry cheesecake, mango cheesecake, Oreo and Fruity Pebbles. Prices vary, depending on what you order (cereal ice waves are $11.50, fruit ice waves are $12.50).

Each ice wave is layered with fluffy shave ice, soft serve, more shave ice, condensed milk and toppings. The Oreo ice wave is my favorite; the cookie crumbles add a nice crunch to the soft, finely shaven ice.

The dessert shop also offers ice floats, sundaes, halo halo, soft serve and milkshakes. Milkshakes come in flavors ranging from the popular, purple-hued ube Oreo to Cinnamon Toast ($13 each). Meanwhile, ice floats ($9.75) are refreshing slushies with snow shave ice, soft serve and sodas.
If you want something unique, opt for the halo halo ($11.50), which features layers of snow shave ice, milk, jellies, sugar, Frosted Flakes and soft serve. Choose from ube or brown sugar halo halo.
Kawaii Ice Wave’s Mililani location currently accepts Venmo or cash only. The shop is open daily from 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
