Meet Celine, Maui Humane Society's Pet of the Week!
She's "a 5-year-old sweetheart who’s been patiently waiting for [her] forever ‘ohana for over a year now," the nonprofit said.
Celine has spent most of that time with a "loving foster family, where [she's] learned to feel safe, snuggled, and even ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi — 'Hele mai' (come) and 'Noho' (sit)."
She can be shy at first, but once she gets more comfy, she will "show you [her] heart through [her] eyes, MHS said. Celine is also a big napper and loves hugs and playing with keiki.
After a long day, she will be there at the door, tail wagging, ready to say, “hi!”
MHS added, "If you’ve got room in your heart (and maybe a cozy spot on the couch)," she can't wait to sniff you.
