An oceanfront compound in Makapu‘u that offers seclusion, views of the ocean and the Ko‘olaus — along with plenty space for your family and friends — is on the market with a $24.9 million asking price.

Located at 41-471 Kalaniana‘ole Highway, the estate sits on nearly an acre of land and offers more than 8,600 square feet of living space total across four structures: a 4-bedroom, 4.5-bathroom main house, a 3-bedroom oceanfront guest house, a 2-bed cottage and a studio. There's also 152 linear feet of ocean frontage and views of Mānana Island, also known as Rabbit Island.

Listing agent Caron Davis of Caron B. Realty International, told Aloha State Daily this week that it's "probably the most picturesque" oceanfront properties out there, offering "that beautiful water and untouched feeling, and beautiful mountains — very scenic, unspoiled landscaping."

"It definitely is for somebody who wants privacy and who wants their friends to come or wants a large family compound," she says.

Although its situated along the highway, Davis says the gated compound is "very quiet" with landscaping that's mature and lush.

"It's probably one of the most beautiful properties on the market right now. ... This is for somebody who truly wants tranquility and the beauty of having an estate on the ocean."

When asked what sets the property apart from others in Windward O‘ahu, Davis noted that the home is newly built with state-of-the-art features and decor. It's also "extremely private."

According to the listing, the main home was completed in 2022. Floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors span the home's oceanfront side, while a gourmet kitchen includes top-of-the-line appliances, custom walnut cabinetry and a "disappearing pantry."

Davis noted, too, that the property has a large lawn fronting the ocean and views of "these incredible mountains."

"I think for anyone [shopping for a home] in this price range, you need to look at it," she says.
