"Shaggy is a gentle, 42-pound, 1-year-old mixed breed pup who came to us in late March when his previous family could no longer provide for his care," said the Hawaiian Humane Society. "Initially frightened by the unfamiliar sights, sounds and faces around him, Shaggy has transformed beautifully with patience and love from our dedicated staff and volunteers.
"Now, this sweet boy needs only moments to trust new people before melting into their arms for full-body cuddles and pets. When he's not soaking up all of your love, nothing makes him happier than an exciting walk or showing off his skills like sit and down.
"Shaggy is a Reid Krucky Memorial Fund recipient, meaning that his adoption fee is waived and he'll go home with goodies to help him settle in with his new ʻohana."
Say "hello" to Shaggy at the Hawaiian Humane Society Kosasa Family Campus daily, open from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. More adoptable pets found online here.
