The state Department of Business, Economic Development and Tourism is looking for Hawai‘i manufacturers in the speciality food industry to exhibit at a three-day trade show in San Diego early next year.
The Winter FancyFaire, which is organized by the Specialty Food Association, is set to take place Jan. 11 to 13, 2026, at the San Diego Convention Center.
"DBEDT is excited about bringing Hawai‘i companies to showcase unique and highly desired products from Hawai‘i," the department said in an announcement this week.
DBEDT says the 2026 show is expected to draw more than 12,000 participants and feature networking events, educational sessions and other opportunities to connect with buyers and exhibitors.
Randy Cortez, economic development specialist with the Business Development and Support Division, told Aloha State Daily via email that the department is looking for manufacturers in the specialty food industry to participate, those "with high-quality food and beverage products, including brands that are established or emerging."
"There continues to be a high demand for Hawai‘i products," Cortez told ASD. "At this trade show, participants will be able to get their products in front of a broad audience of buyers and distributors and build brand recognition."
When asked how it helps businesses and manufacturers from the Islands to participate in shows like this, especially those on the Mainland, Cortez said participants from Hawai‘i will have the chance to "spotlight their products and expand their distribution to a larger market."
"Hawai‘i’s brand is known throughout the world, especially across the continental U.S. and in key markets like California, so the brand visibility and networking opportunities are invaluable."
Want to sign up? A Hawai‘i Pavilion booth will cost $1,000 for a full, 10-foot-by-10-foot in-line booth and $1,187 for a corner booth. The cost for a half booth, approximately 5 feet by 10 feet, is $500.
To apply, you'll first have to complete the he HiSTEP Registration form then complete the SFA Membership Application Form for Tier 1 membership, DBEDT noted. Applicants approved fro the SFA membership are Tier 1 members, the department says. SFA will send instructions to apply for product qualifications to participate in the Winter FancyFaire.
The deadline for applications and payments is Sept. 25.
