The music started at 4:30 p.m. with a set by The Mākaha Sons, who have been performing for almost 50 years. The band will celebrate 50 years of music in 2026. The group was originally called Mākaha Sons of Niʻihau and included Israel Kamakawiwoʻole before he went solo.
That performance was followed by Hawaiian Style Band, which performed during golden hour. Hoʻonuʻa performed during sunset, followed by Henry Kapono & Friends. Kapono took the stage along with other well-known artists including Brother Noland, Mānoa DNA, Tavana, Kalaʻe & Kalena Parish, Kimié Miner and Anuhea. Kanaka Fyah was the penultimate act of the evening with Ekolu taking the stage for the final set.
