Wreath submissions open soon for display at Honolulu Hale

Ready to share holiday cheer with the community? The City and County of Honolulu is looking for submissions for its 2025 Holiday Wreath Contest. Submitted wreaths will be on display in the Lane Gallery of Honolulu Hale from Nov. 29 through Dec. 31. This year, the contest theme is: navigating by the stars.

There are cash prizes for first-place, second-place and third-place winners. First-place winners will receive $150. Second-place winners will take home $100, while third-place winners get $75. The Mayor’s Holly Award for best of show receives $200. There will also be Judges’ Choice awards.

Wreaths should have a minimum diameter of 12 inches and a maximum diameter of 48 inches. Submissions can weigh up to 30 pounds. Wreaths entered in the contest should not contain food products or perishable items. They also cannot contain political statements or commercial advertising.

Entries must be submitted between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 17. A completed entry form must accompany each wreath. No early or late submissions will be accepted. Winners will be notified by Friday, Nov. 21. Details. For more information, email Marion Cadora: marion.cadora@honolulu.gov.
