A UPS cargo plane that crashed in Louisville, Kentucky on Tuesday was bound for Honolulu.

According to the Federal Aviation Administration, UPS Flight 2976 crashed at 5:15 p.m. Eastern Time shortly after departing from the Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport, en route to Daniel K. Inouye International Airport.

UPS reported that three crew members were onboard the aircraft. The Louisville Metro Police Department reported injuries Tuesday afternoon, but no further details of casualties were available.

According to local reporting, the plane was carrying about 280,000 gallons of fuel at the time of the crash, and a shelter-in-place order was issued for much of Louisville following the crash.

The FAA and National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the crash and will provide further updates as the investigation proceeds.
