ADEZ — pronounced “at ease” — Steakhouse & Lounge recently celebrated its grand opening. The eatery is located on Kapahulu Avenue, in the former space of Blind Ox.
It’s designed to be a late-night destination, featuring a restaurant and separate lounge area. The eatery is named after the first names of its two co-owners, Adam Ikeda and Ezekiel Infiel.

The eatery features a prix fixe menu ($50) that includes three courses. It begins with your choice of refreshing watermelon caprese salad — comprising watermelon, fresh mozzarella, local tomatoes, fresh basil, balsamic glaze and olive oil — or a soup trio. During our preview, creamy pumpkin, French onion and chicken Marrungay were featured.

The main entrée features steak Coulotte (a tender, flavorful sirloin cap); you can upgrade to rib-eye (additional $20) or American wagyu (additional $20). The steak is served tableside and features an impressive flaming presentation.

The entrée comes with a trio of side dishes, including mashed potatoes and mushrooms.

For dessert, choose from the housemade ice cream flavor of the day or Chantilly bites. The latter features toasted taro buns with Chantilly drizzle.

The menu also includes a la carte appetizers, ranging from spicy poke ($15) to ADEZ croquettes ($15). The dishes from the prix fixe menu are also available a la carte.

Beverages include red, white and sparkling wines by the glass or bottle, along with cocktails like macnut espresso martini ($14), ADEZ Vietnamese coffee ($12) and Put Your Mind ADEZ ($14).

After dinner, guests are invited to check out the eatery’s upstairs lounge for dessert and cocktails.
Stay tuned — the eatery will be launching its happy hour menu soon.
