Kāhala’s Olive Tree Café has a new wine shop

Oliver Wine & Goods — located next door to the café — offers a variety of imported wines, canned and dried goods, and mini charcuterie boxes. Customers can look forward to in-store tastings and — coming soon — desserts from Asato Family Shop.

Known for its flavorful Greek cuisine, Olive Tree Café recently opened its new wine bar. Oliver Wine & Goods — which is located next to the popular Kāhala café — soft opened a few weeks ago.

According to operations manager Michelle Tsuchiya, the space was home to a pre-existing wine shop. The Olive Tree Café team decided to keep the wine bar’s name.

“It was a wine shop before; they had wines and meats that they sliced,” she says. “We took it over from July.”

The wine shop’s set-up is mostly the same, according to Tsuchiya, who says they recently brought in more wines and moved the shelves around.

Customers can now find wines from Italy, Greece, California, Argentina, France and more.

Patrons can also look forward to the wine shop’s free in-store tastings, which will take place twice a month. The next event is from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5. The tasting will feature Kellerei Cantina Kerner, Zoe Rose and Tentua La Pergola Vino Rosso, according to Tsuchiya.

Besides wines, customers can find mini charcuterie boxes ($6.99) and a rotating selection of desserts like strawberry shortcake ($4.99). The rotating selection of desserts will eventually expand to include offerings like Asato Family Shop’s popular sherbet.

In addition, the wine shop also offers dried and canned goods that are imported from various vendors and sourced from Greece and Italy. You’ll find everything from Greek sage and capers to falafel mix.

Note: Oliver Wine & Goods will be closed on Dec. 24, 25 and 31, and Jan. 1, 2026.
