Steve Aoki, the internationally touring DJ with ties to the Islands, is reimagining tracks from one of his albums, “HiROQUEST 3: Paragon.” That new music is part of the album, “HiROQUEST 3: Paragon Remixed,” released Thursday, Jan. 8, on Spotify.

Aoki has more than 14 million monthly listeners on Spotify. He has released three platinum singles, six gold singles, and more than ten Top 10 radio records. Aoki has been nominated for a Grammy twice and has collaborated with artists such as BTS, Maluma, Snoop Dogg, Linkin Park, blink-182, One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson, Machine Gun Kelly, Lil Uzi Vert, 2 Chainz and Daddy Yankee, among others.

“This remix album is about taking ʻHiROQUEST 3: Paragon’ into another dimension,” shared Aoki in a written statement. “Each track has been reimagined to push the energy even higher and give fans something totally new to experience. Collaborating with so many incredible artists and DJs made the whole project feel alive from start to finish.”

“HiROQUEST 3: Paragon” dropped June 27, 2025, and featured collaborations with David Guetta, Ne-Yo, Trippie Redd, Swae Lee, PnB Rock and Lil Jon, among others.

“I wanted to make this one extra special, so I teamed up with Hoobastank and Sound Rush to rework ‘The Reason,’” Aoki said. “We turned it into this massive moment that’s been going off in my sets, and I’m so excited to finally share it with the world.”

The album also features Aoki and Blasterjaxx’s rework of “Heavenly Hell,” which features Ne-Yo. There is also a fresh take of “Turblence,” which was a collaboration with Laidback Luke and Lil Jon, alongside Antoine Delvig. The album also has a brand-new Aoki remix of 2LOT & Aloe Blacc’s “Immortal.”

Aoki’s father, Hiraoki “Rocky” Aoki, founded Benihana, a restaurant chain with locations across the world. His brother, Kevin Aoki, is a restaurateur and CEO and president of the Aoki Group, which manages a number of restaurants, including Doraku Sushi, Aoki Teppanyaki, Herringbone and more. The duo started Aoki Teppanyaki, which has locations in Waikīkī and Miami, to continue their father’s legacy, according to the restaurant chain’s website.

About 30 years ago, Aoki launched Dim Mak, an independent record label, from his apartment while attending the University of California, Santa Barbara. It has launched global acts like The Chainsmokers, Bloc Party, The Bloody Beetroots and The Kills, as well as early releases from Zedd and Diplo.

In 2020, Aoki launched Dim Mak En Fuego, a label focused on Latin music. He is the focus of the Netflix documentary, “I’ll Sleep When I’m Dead” and the autobiography “Blue: The Color of Noise.”
