The Ninth Island will soon have its fourth Zippy’s.

Zippy’s at Summerlin is set to open at 10 a.m. PST Tuesday, Jan. 27. You can find the eatery at 10810 W. Charleston Blvd. in Las Vegas.

A location at Arroyo Crossing, the first Zippy’s outside of Hawai‘i, opened in October 2023. Two more locations subsequently opened in Las Vegas last year.

Zippy’s Restaurants announced in late 2025 that it would open two more Las Vegas locations in 2026: Summerlin and Zippy’s Camino Al Norte.

“Overall, we’ve felt encouraged by the response to our existing locations in Southern Nevada,” Jessica Yamamoto, communications and social media manager for Zippy's, told Aloha State Daily in an email. “The community here in Las Vegas has shown great interest in what we offer and that positive reception has helped guide our decision to continue sharing our love for Hawai‘i through the foods we serve.”

Zippy's, which celebrates 60 years this year, got its start in 1966, when brothers Francis and Charles Higa opened their first restaurant on King Street in Honolulu. There are now 25 locations on Oʻahu, Maui, Hawai‘i Island and in Las Vegas.

As for future plans, Yamamoto says Zippy’s is “always evaluating opportunities that align with our long-term goals, both in Southern Nevada and beyond. While nothing is finalized, we remain open to exploring options that make sense for the brand and the communities we serve.”

And ICYMI: In honor of “The Wrecking Crew” — a new movie starring actors Jason Momoa and Dave Bautista that’s set to start streaming on Prime Video Jan. 28 — Zippy’s recently debuted a new, limited-time menu item

You can grab The Wrecking Crew Pac, which features a combination of Zippy’s signature items and customer favorites, at all Zippy’s locations in Hawaiʻi and Southern Nevada until Sunday, March 1.

Some scenes from the movie were even filmed at Zippy’s ‘Ewa Beach location in 2024, the restaurant said in a previous announcement.
