Everyone’s looking to save money and get the most bang for their buck. This series will show you where you can save while still savoring a good meal.

This Kalihi grab-and-go spot is known for its affordable breakfast plates, which are served all day.

Located on North School Street, K & K Kitchen offers breakfast plates that range from $4.25 (for the mini) to $12.50. Phone orders are highly recommended for easy pick-up.

The garlic chicken plate ($12.50) is one of the most popular orders. It includes meaty pieces of chicken served with two eggs, fried rice and two strips of bacon.

Other customer favorites include the corned beef hash plate ($10.50) — which includes two scoops of rice and two eggs — and hamburger steak plate ($11.50).

K & K Kitchen also offers plates that cost $10 or less. The deluxe breakfast ($10) comes with rice, two eggs and bacon, Spam and Portuguese sausage. Meanwhile, the regular breakfast ($8.25) comes with rice, two eggs and your choice of meat; pick from three pieces of Spam, three strips of bacon or three pieces of Portuguese sausage.

Keep in mind that, while the fried rice upgrade is recommended, it’s an extra $2.
