As You Like Waikīkī can easily be considered a hidden gem. Tucked away within Hotel Renew, the business opened a few months ago and specializes in breakfast musubi options and matcha.
The drink menu features options like original matcha ($7), matcha strawberry ($8), hojicha banana cream ($8) and banana chocolate cold brew ($8).
We’re told the matcha strawberry and hojicha banana cream are customer favorites.
Meanwhile, if you prefer coffee drinks, opt for the banana chocolate cold brew ($8), which is smooth with a slight sweetness from the chocolate.
Keep an eye out for any seasonal specials during your visit; pumpkin spice hojicha lattes and pumpkin spice matcha were available during the fall.
Musubi flavors range from spicy tuna and miso salmon to bacon and egg, and tamago. The miso salmon ($9) and tsukune, or chicken meatball ($7), are especially popular.
If you want a variety of flavors, go for the musubi bento ($15), which includes four half-musubis so you can mix and match flavors.
While there are a few tables, As You Like Waikīkī is more of a grab-and-go spot designed for takeout. It’s a short walk from the Honolulu Zoo.
