Several Hawai‘i businesses, eateries, museums, festivals — and even Honolulu itself — are among organizations vying to be among the best in a handful of USA Today 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards categories. The awards aim to rank the 10 best in several areas of travel and lifestyle.
Festivals
- The Kaua‘i Poke Fest is among 20 festivals looking to snag a spot on the 10Best list of Best Specialty Food Festivals. Vote here once a day until 7 a.m. March 2. Winners will be announced March 11.
The sixth annual Kaua‘i Poke Fest returns to Kōloa Landing Resort on June 19 and 20. - You can vote for the Hawai‘i Kuauli Pacific & Asia Cultural Festival and the Waikīkī Spam Jam to be included on the 10Best list of Best Cultural Festivals. Vote here once a day until 7 a.m. March 2. Winners will be announced March 11.
The ninth annual Hawai‘i Kuauli Pacific & Asia Cultural Festival is set for June 5 to 7 at the King Kamehameha Kona Beach Resort in Kailua-Kona. Meanwhile, the Waikīkī Spam Jam block party is set from 4 to 10 p.m. Saturday, April 25. - The Honoka‘a Renaissance Faire in the Hawai‘i Island community of Honoka‘a is one of 20 that could land a spot on the 10Best list of Best Renaissance Fairs. Vote here once a day until 7 a.m. March 2. Winners will be announced March 11.
Beer
- BREW’d Craft Pub in Kaimukī is among those looking land a spot on the 10Best list of Best Beer Bars. Vote here once a day until 7 a.m. Feb. 23. Winners will be announced March 4.
- Which city has the best beer scene? Honolulu is among those vying for a spot for Best Beer City. Vote here once a day until 7 a.m. Feb. 23. Winners will be announced March 4.
- Maui Brewing Co. in Kihei is among those you can vote for for the 10Best list of Best Beer Gardens and for Best Brew Pub. Vote here and here once a day until 7 a.m. Feb. 23. Winners will be announced March 4.
- You can vote for Kona Brewing Co.’s Māhea Haze label for the Best Beer Label. The company itself is seeking a spot on the 10Best list for Best Brewery Tour. Vote once a day here and here until 7 a.m. Feb. 23. Winners will be announced March 4.
Art and museums
- Honolulu is among the cities you can vote on for the 10Best list of Best City for Street Art. Vote here until 7 a.m. Feb. 16. Winners will be announced Feb. 25.
- And voting is still underway for the 10Best list of Best Science Museums, where ‘Imiloa Astronomy Center in Hilo is up for a spot, and Best Small Town Museum, where you can vote for the Maui Historical Society — at least for now. The polls for both lists close at 7 a.m. Monday, Feb. 9. Winners will be announced on Feb. 18.
