Located in Lāʻie, Polynesian Cultural Center is known for its lūʻau, Polynesian island villages and “Hā: Breath of Life” show.
Most recently, the Polynesian Cultural Center was a distribution location for hot food, water and essential supplies for those affected by the Kona Low storms.
The Center is launching its new dining experience — the Hukilau lunch buffet — on March 30. The lunch buffet will be available from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. daily (except for Wednesdays and Sundays) at the Center’s Gateway restaurant.

The lunch buffet costs $24.95 per adult and $19.96 per child (children ages 3 years and under have free admission).

The lunch buffet features Island-inspired offerings. Attendees can look forward to entrees like chef’s Hawaii catch of the day, slow-roasted kalua pork, and Huli Huli chicken.
The catch — mahi mahi was featured during our preview — is seasoned and finished with a furikake topping. The Hawaiian-style kalua pork was tender and boasted a slightly smoky flavor. Meanwhile, the Huli Huli chicken is glazed with a sweet and savory soy-ginger sauce.

Sides include steamed white rice, creamy ulu mash, North Shore farm greens, garlic-ginger bok choy and classic Hawaiian macaroni salad.
The velvety mashed ulu is blended with Yukon Gold potatoes, resulting in a buttery finish and smooth texture. The crisp North Shore farm greens are served with housemade lilikoʻi-cilantro aioli. We loved the dressing’s bright, tropical flavor.
Conclude your buffet experience with unlimited Dole Whip soft serve, which is dairy-free, gluten-free and vegan. Guests can also enjoy fountain soft drinks, freshly brewed coffee and hot tea.
