At 23-18 overall and 15-6 in Big West play, the University of Hawai‘i softball team is in the thick of the conference race with two weekends remaining in the regular season.
The Rainbow Wahine are currently tied for third in the Big West standings and close out the slate against Cal Poly and UC Riverside, the two bottom teams in the conference standings.
Hawai‘i closes out its home slate with a Friday doubleheader against Cal Poly that begins at 2:30 p.m., followed by a Saturday senior day game at 11 a.m. at Rainbow Wahine Softball Stadium.
Meanwhile, the UH baseball team is still on the road and will play at No. 1 UCLA on Tuesday at 3 p.m. HST. The game will air nationally on the Big Ten Network. The Rainbow Warriors will then have a nonconference series at No. 6 Oregon State from Friday to Sunday.
In other UH sports, the women's golf team is currently hosting the Big West golf championship, which wraps up on Tuesday. The UH beach volleyball team will open the Big West Tournament against Cal State Bakersfield on Thursday in San Luis Obispo, Calif., while the UH water polo team will take on California to open the NCAA Tournament on Friday.
OIA championships
The O‘ahu Interscholastic Association will hold its championships in multiple sports this week. Surfing takes place at Kewalo Basin on Monday, while the Division I and II championship games will take place on Friday at Hans L'Orange Park.
PacWest sports
Hawai‘i Pacific's baseball team will wrap up its road trip of 11 games in 10 days with a doubleheader at Vanguard on Monday. The Sharks will then return home and host Chaminade on Wednesday. HPU's softball team will host Hawai‘i-Hilo for a Sunday doubleheader.
Chaminade and Hawai‘i-Hilo's softball teams will meet for a doubleheader on Friday at noon, while the baseball teams for each school will have doubleheaders on Friday and Saturday.
