Known for its customizable superfood bowls, everbowl is soft opening its second location tonight in Pearl City (it’s in the former space of Hana Tea). The business is offering free acai bowls to the first 300 customers from 5 to 8 p.m. This event is open to the public, according to Angela Padilla, who co-owns the business with her husband, Brandon.
“Anyone is welcome to come and wait in line,” she says. “We’re planning on giving away at least 300 (bowls); it’s just a three-hour event to introduce ourselves to the community.”
The free acai bowls will feature the business’s signature everbowl flavor, comprising acai topped with granola, bananas, strawberries and blueberries.
The acai bowl biz’s Pearl City location will be open for its first full day on May 1.

The business opened its first Hawaiʻi location in Kapolei last April. Its Ka Makana Aliʻi store has been consistently busy, according to Padilla.
“That was another reason why we decided we wanted to open a second location,” she says. “A lot of our customers come from around this area.”
She says that when it came to finding a second location, timing was key.
“Commercial spaces, especially for this type of restaurant, go really quickly, so we jumped on it right away,” she says. “It’s a really good location.”
The menu at the business’s new Pearl City store is the same as the one at its Kapolei location. Bowls are available in regular ($14.99) and large ($15.99) sizes. The everbowl flavor is the most popular one; other customer favorites include the PB everbowl and mango majic. The latter features mango, blue majic (which contains blue spirulina), granola, strawberries, pineapples, kiwi and coconut.
Besides acai bowls, the business also offers smoothies, toasts, coffee and matcha.

When it comes to the new location, Padilla says she’s especially excited for their team.
“We hired 20 employees, and they are just so energetic and really excited to bring this to their community,” she says. “We have [individuals from] Pearl City High School, Waipahu High School, Mililani High School … it’s really nice to bring them all together and provide jobs for them.”
“We’re just really excited to be in Pearl City,” adds Brandon Padilla. “Being that it’s more centrally located, a lot more people will get to enjoy everbowl.”
