Edna Magpantay-Monroe

Edna Magpantay-Monroe is the Dean of the School of Nursing at Hawaiʻi Pacific University. She has been a registered nurse for more than 35 years with administration, teaching and clinical experience and is active in many nursing professional organizations. Magpantay-Monroe is a published author in peer reviewed journals and textbook chapters and has presented locally, nationally and internationally. She has received many awards in teaching (e.g. 2022 DAISY Extraordinary Faculty Award), administration (e.g. 2018 Filipino Business Woman Association: Business Manager of the year), mentorship (e.g. 2020 National Student Nurses Association Weingarten Leader of Leaders Award), service (e.g. Certificate of Special Congressional Appreciation and Certificate of Recognition from the Council of the City and County of Honolulu for HiNAMI Volunteer Lecturer for NCLEX prep for foreign nursing graduates) and some of her collaborative publications.  Magpantay-Monroe serves in an advisory capacity in her community of interests and was a Summer Research Institute Fellow with Harris Manchester University of Oxford, England.
