Hau‘oli Lorenzo-Elarco and Kenika Lorenzo-Elarco
J. Hauʻoli Lorenzo-Elarco is from Waimea, Hawaiʻi. He sits on the leadership board as the coordinator of the Papahānaumokuākea Native Hawaiian Cultural Working Group and chair of the Nomenclature Subcommittee. He is also an assistant professor of Hawaiian language at Honolulu Community College.
Kenika Lorenzo-Elarco is a Kanaka ʻŌiwi educator and scholar from Waialua, Oʻahu. He is a member of the Papahānaumokuākea Native Hawaiian CWG and serves as the co-chair of the communications subcommittee. Kenika also serves as the community engagement manager at the W. M. Keck Observatory and a junior specialist faculty at UH Mānoa.
