Ahi is a 53-lb, 1-year-old shepherd/terrier mix, who's been patiently waiting for a loving home since December 2024, according to the Hawaiian Humane Society.
"This sweet, curious boy has a heart full of playful energy and affection! He’s all about fun and adventure — whether it’s a game of fetch, an exciting round of tug-of-war or exploring new places, Ahi is up for anything. But Ahi’s favorite pastime is snuggling up with his humans. Treats are also Ahi’s love language — they motivate him to learn new tricks and skills, making him a quick learner when there's a tasty reward involved.
"If you’re looking for a loyal, playful companion who loves adventure and cuddles, Ahi might be your perfect match! Ahi is a Reid Krucky Memorial Fund recipient, which means along with his adoption fees being waived, he will go home with a special bundle of goodies to help him get settled."
Ahi can be adopted at the Hawaiian Humane Society Kosasa Family Campus at Hoʻopili, open daily from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
