Topa Tower in Downtown Honolulu
Topa Tower, where once stood the two-acre fort protecting Honolulu Harbor. (Mysteries of Hawai‘i)

I was just reading your article about the Topa Towers after a tenant who works in the building told me about it and yes, there are some strange, unexplained things that happen there.

My own personal experience there, although not too dramatic, was very odd. I currently work in the building as the security supervisor and have been there about a year and a half and recently I was working a midnight shift and was making the door checks in the Fort Street Tower and had made my way down to the 3rd floor.

It was about 3 a.m. and there was no one in the building and there hadn't been for hours. While walking through the back hallway where there was an exit to the parking garage I came upon an intense, but really beautiful, floral smell.... But only in that spot! Nothing a few feet further and nothing behind or around the corner It was just that spot, and within seconds it was gone! Can't explain it, things that make you go hmmm.
