Tuesday marked the filing deadline for prospective political candidates to submit their nomination papers to run for office in the 2026 elections.

In addition to state-level races, city and county council seats are up for grabs across the Islands this year, along with mayoral races in Maui and Kaua‘i counties. These races are nonpartisan. Here's who filed as of June 2, according to information from the state Office of Elections.

The 2026 primary election is set for Aug. 8 with the general election following on Nov. 3. Here's who filed:

Honolulu City Council
