Father’s Day is Sunday, June 21. Ready to make plans to celebrate the father, grandfather, brother or uncle in your life? Here are some of the things you can do on Oʻahu to celebrate dads.

Eat! Aloha State Daily’s Food & Dining Reporter Kelli Shiroma Braiotta has a list of places to take dad in this guide: Where to celebrate Father’s Day 2026 - part 1 and part 2. From kiawe smoked prime rib to taro pancakes and soft-shell crab with yuzu butter sauce, there are plenty of ʻono options. Details.

Fish. The Westside Ahi Tournament returns for Father’s Day weekend. There are awards for biggest ahi and heaviest ahi, as well as ones for mahi, ono, aku and marlin. Each boat is allowed to win just one category per day. The winner’s pot is expected to be about $100,000 if at least 200 boats participate in the competition. Entry fees are $600. This year, the event is hosted by Island Magic Mike. Details.

Laugh. Comedians James Mane, Lanai and Kaleo Pilanca will take the stage for a Father’s Day show at the Blue Note Hawaiʻi hosted by Heston Kaʻaihue. Doors open at 5 p.m. and the show starts at 6:30 p.m. Seating is first-come, first-served. Details.

Stop by the HoMA. Admission is free on the third Sunday of the month, including Father’s Day on Sunday, June 21. The Honolulu Museum of Art also offers free admission to military families of all ranks and services, including guard and reserve, from May 27 through Sept. 6, as part of the Blue Star Museums initiative, which is a partnership between the National Endowment of the Arts, Blue Star Families and the Department of Defense plus more than 2,000 participating museums across the nation. Details.

Honolulu Dad Walks. Three Little Ducks Hawaiʻi, which is a team of pediatric experts and parents led by Dr. Suma Metla, a pediatric physical therapist, is hosting a number of Honolulu Dad Walks. While there is no walk on Father’s Day itself, there are Honolulu Dad Walks on June 16 at Kakaʻako Waterfront Park; June 18, at Magic Island; and June 23, at Kakaʻako Waterfront Park, among other dates. Details.
