Letter to the Editor: ʻPraise and accoladesʻ for speaking truth

An ASD reader, born in Honolulu who now resides in Louisiana, gives kudos to columnist Sterling Higa for his take on the May 30 beating on Oʻahu's North Shore. "His article was faith-affirming and much needed in these days of violence," she writes.

Praise and accolades to Sterling Higa for his article in Aloha State Daily, "No law can raise the dead." His article was faith-affirming and much needed in these days of violence by young people in the Mainland and the Hawaiian Islands. As a born-again Christian, it is refreshing to see a young father and writer for your paper speak truth to your readers! I pray I will read more articles like this one in the future.

I was born in Honolulu in 1950; my mother being Hawaiian and my father stationed there while in the Marines. I still have many ʻohana on Oʻahu and some on the Big Island, and I very much enjoy reading the Aloha State Daily. Mahalo, Aloha and God bless!
