The Artisan Loft, upstairs of Dean & Deluca Hawaiʻi at The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Waikīkī Beach, recently launched a new afternoon tea menu.
The venue’s urban picnic-style afternoon tea menu changes a few times a year. This seasonal menu started last month and highlights locally sourced Hawaiian ingredients through French-inspired techniques and dishes.

The five-course menu costs $59 per person — a $54 kamaʻāina rate is available with a valid Hawaiʻi State-issued photo I.D. — and afternoon tea is served from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tuesdays to Thursdays.
The experience starts with your choice of hot or cold teas. Choose from hot teas like hibiscus wild, green tea, spicy chai and more.

The first two courses include a cheese and herbs scone — served with housemade jam and whipped mascarpone — and an Okinawan sweet potato vichyssoise. The latter features a velvety vichyssoise with Hawaiian Okinawan sweet potatoes and topped with housemade sweet potato chips.
This version of vichyssoise — traditionally a thick, creamy French-style soup — is chilled, lighter and refreshing.
The savory course features six bite-sized dishes:
- Saffron bagna cauda with seasonal vegetables: Locally sourced Hawaiian vegetables with a saffron-infused anchovy and garlic sauce
- Furikake-seared ‘ahi with pineapple salsa: Furikake-crusted ‘ahi with yuzu avocado crème and tropical pineapple salsa
- Crab-filled Waialua egg crepe: Waialua egg crepe filled with sweet crab and topped with Ho Farm tomato agrodolce and wrapped with crisp cucumber
- Mini ecrevisse brioche roll: Crawfish salad with citrus aioli, celery, herbs and finger lime
- Foie gras and pastrami croissant crostini: Housemade croissant crostini topped with spiced pastrami, foie gras, strawberry and mint
- Charcoal focaccia with Waialua egg confit: Housemade charcoal focaccia topped with Waialua egg confit, prosciutto and pickled tomato

The dessert course includes a variety of tropical treats:
- Mango cheesecake: Mango cheesecake with mango gelee and mango glacee
- Macaron pina colada: Pineapple glacee macaron filled with coconut buttercream
- Ube mont blanc tart: Almond tart with ube-infused French chestnut paste and vanilla Chantilly cream
- Calamansi raspberry taco: This taco-inspired cookie is filled with calamansi cremeux and raspberry ganache
- Yame matcha honey mousse: Japan-imported Yame matcha layered with honey mousse and matcha jelly

The tea concludes with a locally made hibiscus lime sorbet.
Reservations for the afternoon tea can be made via OpenTable. The Artisan Loft’s new afternoon tea menu will be available for the next several months.
